Zachary Van Valkenburg is the founder of NormSense, an AI norm intelligence platform that tracks how norms governing AI development crystallize, get contested, and spread across jurisdictions. He’s the author of two SSRN papers on AI norm formation, including Cognitive Surrender and Constitutive Delegation, currently under review at AI and Society.
Including NormSense, he serves as a United States Space Force military intelligence officer and earned an M.S. in Military Operational Art and Science. He’s currently an EMBA candidate at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
